Brandon Clarke’s work aims to spark awareness and surprise to his viewer in order to encounter a fundamental question: “Who are you, really?” The main concept of Clarke’s art explores all the dimensions of the traditional canvas structure itself, with the intent to expose many hidden messages. In addition, Clarke’s technique and material choices express literally and metaphorically characteristics on the canvas to imply the question of, “Who are we really within the framework of our lives?”
Clarke currently lives and works in Miami, Florida as a second-generation artist. Clarke’s artistic background with his grandmothers’ painters’-hand, has given him a unique way to express his work. This only validates Clarke’s 2021 Best New Exhibitor award given from the Spectrum Miami show during Miami Art Week. Clarke’s work has also been in several publications including Artist Talk Magazine and Miami Living Magazine. In addition, Clarke was chosen to be an exhibiting artist for Point Comfort’s Art Fair, while also asked to be a guest panelist for the galleries subject of,” Images of Social Justice” during Art Week Miami. Clarke also was interviewed as a guest on several podcasts such as, The Florida Home Show Podcast in episode 15, and So Glad You’re Here Podcast episode 2. Furthermore, Clarke’s works remain in private collections across the United States and Internationally.
